Kigali, July 17th 2011, Primus Guma Guma competition has offered Rwandan music fans fantastic moments for the past months. The ten contestants have been touring the country through road shows and the recent two elimination phases, live on TV, have been further heating up the competition. Tens of thousands of Rwandans have been voting for their favorite artist during the last two weeks and the public has set the destiny of the Primus Guma Guma Superstar contestants. Through their votes, Rwandans have decided who to eliminate and who would be nowadays in the final 4 contestants competing for the title of Primus Guma Guma Superstar 2011.

With the objective to improve music in Rwanda and encourage music talents; Primus in collaboration with East African Promoters (EAP) are doing the best to keep their promises to offer the best of Rwandan Musicians to their fans.

Following his recent injury and in regard of Mr. Sean Kingston present health status, his management has required the Primus Guma Guma Superstar organizers to reschedule his concert in Rwanda in order to respect Sean Kingston recovery. Sean Kingston concert, which was scheduled on July 30th, 2011, will therefore take place on September 17th 2011 at the Amahoro stadium.

The Primus Guma Guma Superstar final with the official announcement of the Primus Guma Guma Superstar winner 2011 will still take place on July 30th 2011, broadcasted live on TVR, from the parking of Amahoro stadium. All 10 contestants will perform alongside the 4 finalists. The final vote is again in the hand of the Rwandan public.

After his nomination, the one and only Primus Guma Guma Superstar will then travel to the USA in the month of August where he will meet Sean Kingston, record a single and shoot the video clip with him.

On September 17th, 2011; the Primus Guma Guma Superstar 2011 and Sean Kingston will offer to all Rwandans the pleasure to discover their song, live and exclusive, during a big event including several artists.

“It is unfortunate that we had to postpone the concert due to Sean Kingston’s accident and injury. The most important thing is that he will perform in Rwanda and invite the Primus Guma Guma Superstar to his studio in Miami to record a song together. I am impressed and proud to see how our 10 contestants have grown as artists and performed during the Primus Guma Guma Superstar 2011. It does confirm there is a lot of talent here in Rwanda.”, said Alexander Koch, Bralirwa’s Commercial Director.
“Our first target is to make sure that Primus Guma Guma Superstar winner gets the best exposure on a national and international music scene. We are looking forward to the next step of the competition”, said Aline Asselot, Bralirwa’s Marketing Manager.
The winner of the competition will be announced live, on July 30th at the parking of Amahoro stadium in front of thousands of fans, TV viewers and will share the stage with Sean Kingston on September 17th, 2011.
